Sensei Shawn Davidson began Martial Arts at the age of 13. He has trained in Brockville, Montreal and Toronto. Sensei Davidson ccame to us with 15 years of Martial Arts training. He is a 2nd degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Karate, 4th degree in (and Co-founder of) Ku-Ryu-Ki fight system and has competed in full contact fighting competitions in Canada, U.S.A. and Europe (including international "Knock Down Competition - International Sport Ju-Jitsu ). Shawn Davidson has served a few times in Afghanistan and has retired from the military. He is now Head Coach & trainer at HUA Functional Fitness at 212 King St and the founder of BROCK-FIT.

After teaching at TIMA he went to work for Safe International from there he went to Georgian College (Police College). Married to Heather, Ryan now lives in Toronto and works at Total Security Management.

Sensei Eric Hutton joined Bob Meuller Martial Arts Academy in 1988. He was motivated after spending a summer with the Canadian Forces Reserve in Petawawa and saw a Karate Tournament. Trained in the church, then under Dan Coles as Sensei with SuperKids where the Shotokan style was changed to Sloky-Ryu. After 7 years training, almost full time, 3 years as a brown belt, Sensei Hutton left in 1995/96 and returned with the switch back to Shotokan Style in 1997 under Sensei Grant Joron, who had completed a 1st degree black belt in Ju-Jitsu which helped open up our training/teaching style.
With Sensei Joran and the World Kubudo Federation Sensei Hutton trained and graded for Shodan under Sensei Paul Kerr in 2000. He then trained and instructed for TIMA, including active members, to rebuild the club after its collapse in 2001. Sensei Huttons biggest martial arts motivation has been Sensei Noonan.

Sensei Chris Wilson is a 1st degree Black Belt under the tutelage of Sensei Bob Noonan. Inspired by Jackie Chan movies, Chris joined the Thousand Islands Martial Arts Tots program in 1997. He got his black belt in 2005, and has been instructing at TIMA since. He competed as a part of the Thunder Demo Team, and since the visit of Team Ryouko in 2008 has been training in multiple styles of acrobatics and stunts. He credits his martial arts to career to Sensei Noonan, who has been his most influential instructor since he began. Chris Wilson is now attending Directors College in Vancouver B.C.

Sensei McArthur is a certified carpenter and graduated with honors from Algonquin College's Mechanical Engineering Technologist program (OACETT). He currently works at 3M in Brockville Ontario in a Supervisor/Coaching role. Rob has a daughter, a stepson, and three grandchildren.
His hobbies include just about anything outdoors including hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening. He enjoys being challenged as lifes greatest accomplishments come from the greatest challenges.

Sensei Eamer began training in martial arts at the age of 9 and it soon became a large part of her life. She worked hard and made life-long friends in the dojo. Sensei Eamer's specialty was kata and she enjoyed teaching classes and putting together demos for community events. After leaving T.I.M.A. she continued to find herself in male-dominated environments in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Upon graduation she took the time to travel to Europe before beginning her work in the field of surgical robotics with Minogue Medical working with the daVinci Surgical System. Sensei Eamer is an Engineer in Training working towards her P.Eng designation with Professional Engineers Ontario. She is currently again a student at the University of Toronto doing research in microfluidics as part of the requirements to attain a Masters of Applied Science.

After leaving T.I.M.A Sensei Mallory went on to attend the University of Waterloo and later went on to become a planner for the township of North Stormont. Sensei Mallory had trained in the martial arts for 20 years.

Sensei Peter Townshend is a 1st dan black belt in Shotokan karate and a 3rd dan in Contemporary martial arts. Peter started his training through Bob Mueller's Martial Arts Academy in Brockville at age 11 and began instructing in 1993 in Victoria, BC. Before Peter retired from teaching professionally in 2001, he had the privilege of being the head instructor for schools in Kingston and Owner/Operator in several Toronto area locations. Now Peter returns to teaching with the friends he originally trained with and the encouragement of his son Luke.
