We have 3 different programs at Thousand Islands Martial Arts which will be outlined further below. All classes are 1
hour long as well as Everyone’s First Class is always FREE. We operate ALL year long except for holidays and one week
at Christmas, because of that you can start whenever you wish. There are NO sessions. You progress at your own pace
but within a team atmosphere. Gradings are every 2 months so you are not pushed through the system, you are only
graded when you and the Sensei feel you are ready. For children under the age of 16 years, you will be issued a
Child Tax Credit receipt at the end of the year for Income Tax purposes.
Costs for the programs are a very personal thing but also very affordable. We deal with local agencies that help with funding to ease the burden somewhat. Our programs start at $50 per month which is also complimented with the fact that we have family rates as well. Because everyone’s needs and situations are not the same it is always best to call first or come in and discuss what option may be best for you and your child. Uniforms may be purchase here as well.
TOTS
- This program is for 4 to 6 year olds and are on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 10 am. Class size is a maximum of 12 so it is subject to a waiting list but sometimes it does not take too long to get in. Always call call to check on availability.
JUNIORS
- For children age 6 to 12 years of age. Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays Throughout the week class time is from 6 pm to 7pm and on Saturday it is 10 am to 11 am.
ADJ. JUNIORS & ADULTS
- This program is for ages 13 & up . Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7 pm to 8 pm. There is an option to advance to another class on Saturdays at 11 am to noon but this is for purple belts and up as well as for the student who is serious about achieving and preparing for Black Belt.
